2. Types of personal data processed

In general, the company processes the personal data that the user provides when contracting our services, collecting the personal data of the buyer and/or the personal data of the traveler; either in person at our physical point of sale or through online data collection forms, call center and/or any sales channels enabled by the company.

However, on many occasions, our customers' personal data is provided by third parties such as travel agencies or other individuals who request or contract, on your behalf, the products and/or services that we offer through our different sales channels.

The categories of data processed are generally identifying information such as name, surname, national identity document number, date of birth, gender, email address, contact telephone number, payment details, purchase history, login registration data as a registered user, connection data, geolocation, and browsing data (if you interact with us from your mobile device). In very specific cases, and depending on the purpose and intended use of your data, personal characteristics data may be collected, such as when requesting the special assistance service (for people with reduced mobility); data relating to the Balearic Islands residency discount; and data relating to large family status, all for the purpose of verifying beneficiary status.

A) Based on the contractual relationship:

ii. To properly manage emergency situations, disasters, or force majeure events, it may be necessary to communicate your personal data to competent bodies or entities.
iii. To contact you to inform you, where applicable, about contact tracing in situations involving the control of epidemics and their spread. Personal data will be kept for 90 days from the date of your trip and will be available to the health authorities upon request during that period.

C) Based on the data subject's consent:
i. Comprehensive management of the registration process, administration, and management of your user account (including when you choose to interact with us by registering with your social media profile, such as Facebook or Twitter).
ii. Keeping you informed, either electronically or via mobile devices (push notifications), or by any other means provided, of personalized offers and discounts from Menorca Lines or our partners that may be of interest to you.
iii. Properly managing your participation in contests, raffles, and promotions offered by Menorca Lines.

viii. To conduct quality actions and surveys aimed at understanding the level of satisfaction of our customers and users and identifying areas where we can improve.

To do this, we will use information you provide based on your purchase and browsing history. We believe we have a legitimate interest in conducting a customer profile analysis using the information we have about you (purchase history, browsing activity, preferences, etc.) and the personal data you provided during the purchase or registration process on our website. We have weighed our interests and determined that we have a legitimate interest in using video surveillance cameras to ensure that our transportation services and business activities are carried out safely for customers and employees.

4. Legitimation

The legal bases that legitimize the indicated treatments are the execution of the previously contracted transport contract, the user's consent, compliance with a legal obligation and the legitimate interest of Menorca Lines.

5. Recipients of personal data

The recipients of the information provided will be SERVICIOS Y CONCESIONES MARITIMAS IBICENCAS SA and THE COMPANIES.

If users have contracted additional services, their personal data will be shared with the company providing the contracted service. Similarly, your personal data may be shared with Menorca Lines' partner transport companies when the contracted service is provided by a third-party partner. This sharing is essential for us to provide the contracted transport service in accordance with our legal and contractual obligations.

Users' personal data may also be shared with the insurance company with which the transport company has contracted its Mandatory Travel Insurance (“SOV”). We will only send you commercial information from Menorca Lines where we can offer you discounts and benefits from both Menorca Lines and companies with which Menorca Lines has commercial agreements, only if you have agreed to receive commercial communications.

No international data transfers are carried out. 7. Data retention period

We only store users' personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and in accordance with the legal basis for its processing.
